18-Year-Old Kobe Bailey Killed in Car Accident on 15 Freeway [Sloan, NV]
Single Vehicle Involved in Fatal Rollover Accident on 15 Freeway in Sloan
SLOAN, NV (November 17, 2020) – Authorities identified 18-year-old Kobe Bailey as the victim who died a car accident on 15 Freeway on early Tuesday morning.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened just north of the Sloan exit around 12:30 AM.
Based on a report, Bailey was sitting in the backseat of a 2003 Volkswagen Passat that was traveling northbound on the freeway. Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle suffered a tire tread separation. Subsequently, it entered the left shoulder and the driver over corrected to the right before entering a desert area. The car then rolled over, ejecting the victim into the road.
As a result, emergency crews pronounced the teen dead on scene. In addition, medics transported two juveniles and an adult to University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the NHP.
