Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Loop 202 Santan Freeway in Gilbert
GILBERT, AZ (November 13, 2020) – Police confirmed that a man died in a pedestrian accident on Loop 202 Santan Freeway on Friday morning.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened eastbound on-ramp of the freeway around 10:30 AM.
Based on a report, the victim was removing debris from the roadway at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, an unidentified vehicle struck the victim.
As a result, the man died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity pending kin notification.
The driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with DPS. At this point, an investigation into the case is still ongoing.
