63-Year-Old Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on North Romero near West Ruthrauff Road in Flowing Wells

 
FLOWING WELLS, AZ (November 12, 2020) – Police confirmed that a vehicle struck and killed 63-year-old Arlene Matus on North Romero on Thursday morning.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near West Ruthrauff Road around 6:30 AM.
 
Based on a report, the woman was walking on the roadway at the time of the crash. At the same time, a box truck was making a left turn from Romero onto westbound Ruthrauff. Due to unknown reasons, the truck struck her.
 
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said the victim died at the scene.
 
Further details were not immediately available. The investigation is ongoing.
