One Hospitalized after Pedestrian Accident on South C Street [Oxnard, CA]
Pedestrian Struck and Injured by Vehicle in Accident on South C Street in Oxnard
OXNARD, CA (November 15, 2020) – Medics transported one person to the hospital after a pedestrian accident in the 400 block of South C Street on Sunday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened between 4th Street and 5th Street at approximately 7:47 PM.
Based on a report, Oxnard Fire Department crews found the victim down in the roadway. The victim was crossing the street at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a sedan traveling northbound struck him.
As a result, the victim suffered critical injuries in the incident. Subsequently, medics transported the patient to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment. The victim was a man about 30 years old.
The driver, a 36-year-old Oxnard woman, remained on scene and was cooperative. Officers from the Oxnard Police Department are still investigating the case.
