2 Die in Single-Car Accident in Everett
EVERETT, WA (November 10, 2020)—Two people died Saturday morning following a single-vehicle accident on 20th Street Southeast near 71st Avenue Southeast.
According to reports, the 3:00 a.m. crash happened in the 5800 block of 20th Street Southeast.
Upon arriving, police found that an Audi R8 had crashed, tragically killing a man in his 40s and a man in his 20s. Per reports, one of the men had been ejected from the vehicle.
As crews tended to the victims, investigators searched the scene for evidence that could explain the crash.
Thus far, authorities believe that the driver had lost control of the vehicle and swerved to the south side of the roadway. Subsequently, the car slammed into a piling supporting water supply pipes at high speeds and possibly during heavy fog.
If anyone has more information on this crash, please call detectives.
We would like to express our heartfelt sympathies to the friends and families of the victims. We hope you find strength in those around you during this time.
