Jacob Rush Detained in DUI Single-Car Accident on Highway 17 Near Glenwood Drive
SCOTTS VALLEY, CA (November 17, 2020) — Two people sustained major injuries in a single-vehicle DUI crash on Highway 17 near Glenwood Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 25-year-old man operating a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee on the highway made an unsafe turning movement. Subsequently, the southbound Jeep traveled down an embankment and rolled back onto the southbound lane.
As a result of the 10:00 p.m. crash, Jacob Rush and his 24-year-old passenger from Santa Cruz sustained major injuries.
Per news reports, a CHP officer arrested Rush for driving under the influence after determining that DUI may have played a role.
