MESA, AZ (November 10, 2020) — A 58-year-old man perished following Monday’s pedestrian accident at West University Drive and North Dobson Road.
According to police, 29-year-old Joseph Hunt may have been impaired at the time he struck 58-year-old old Michael Workman around 6:30 a.m. Tragically, Workman, who had been using a wheelchair to cross the road, died at the scene.
Per investigations, officers learned that Hunt struck Workman outside of a marked crosswalk.
However, since details remain ambiguous, investigators plan to examine this case more closely.
