Man Dies in Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Accident at Beachwood Drive and Belcher Avenue [Merced, CA]
Motorcyclist Killed in Merced Hit-and-Run Accident at Beachwood Drive
MERCED, CA (October 26, 2020) — A hit-and-run motorcycle accident at Beachwood Drive and Belcher Avenue claimed a 50-year-old’s life Friday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the Merced man died when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle around 7:03 p.m.
The vehicle, which authorities described as a dark green sedan from the late 1990s to early 2000s, attempted a left turn after traveling westbound on Belcher Avenue. However, during the driver’s attempt, the sedan struck the motorcyclist, killing the man shortly after.
Unfortunately, the driver of the vehicle fled southbound on Beechwood Avenue. Now, investigators have no information surrounding the suspect and need witnesses’ help in identifying the person. In addition, if anyone has more information, please call 209-356-6600.
