Man Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Accident on 15 Freeway [Fallbrook, CA]
Fallbrook Crash on 15 Freeway near Highway 76
FALLBROOK, CA (November 10, 2020) – A Murrieta man suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident on 15 Freeway on Tuesday morning.
According to California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred near Highway 76 around 5:30 AM.
Based on a report, the 25-year-old man was riding his motorcycle at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a Ford F-250 decelerated suddenly due to slowing traffic ahead. Consequently, the victim rear-ended the pickup truck. The truck then collided with a Jeep Grand Cherokee in front of it.
As a result, the motorcyclist sustained major but non-life-threatening trauma, including broken bones. Paramedics transported him to a hospital for treatment. The occupants of the other vehicles were not hurt in the incident.
The accident closed the traffic lanes on the freeway for about a half-hour. The crash remained under investigation by the police. At this point, officials don’t have additional information to share.
As a rider, always stay in your lane to prevent a motorcycle crash. In addition, as a driver, pay attention to the movement of small vehicles like motorcycles and bicycles. Also, do not leave the scene after an accident.
