Deadly Solo-Car Accident in Tujunga, Car Crashes off Highway 2
TUJUNGA, CA (November 10, 2020) — A driver died Sunday evening after a vehicle crashed and plunged off Highway 2 at Mile Marker 33.40.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 7:00 p.m. crash drew CHP officials to the scene where crews recovered a white Infiniti about 400 feet off Highway 2, also known as Angeles Crest Highway.
Per investigations, the male driver of the white Infiniti was heading westbound when he lost control and drove off the side of the road.
Tragically, the man died in the crash and his female passenger, described by reports as a 28-year-old Rosemead woman, suffered major injuries. Due to her state, paramedics had to rush her to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena.
As of now, the precise cause of the crash and if impairment played a role require more investigation. If anyone can help authorities determine what had happened here, please call the CHP.
