Man Ejected and Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 [Salinas, CA]
Two Vehicles Involved in Fatal Crash on Highway 101 near Esperanza Road in Salinas
SALINAS, CA (November 7, 2020) – Police confirmed that a man died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 101 on Saturday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred near Esperanza Road.
Based on a report, a Ford Explorer collided with a Mitsubishi Montero. Both vehicles were traveling in the northbound lane. However, the consequences that led to the accident were not immediately available.
As a result, the impact ejected the Ford driver from the vehicle. The victim was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Subsequently, the victim died at the scene. Officials identified him as a 59-year-old man from Greenfield. The Ford’s passenger and the driver of the Mitsubishi were not hurt in the incident.
The police are still investigating the case. However, they don’t have additional information to share.
