3-Year-Old Boy Airlifted after Scooter Crash on River Dance Court [Alpine, CA]
Scooter Struck by Car in Crash on River Dance Court near South Grade Road in Alpine
ALPINE, CA (November 6, 2020) – Medics airlifted a 3-year-old boy to the hospital after a scooter crash on River Dance Court on early Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred near South Grade Road around 9:00 AM.
Based on a report, the boy rode out of a residential driveway in his scooter. Subsequently, he and hit the front passenger side of a 2010 Mazda 3 that was heading west on the roadway.
Crews said the victim was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. As a result, he suffered minor to moderately serious trauma. Paramedics airlifted the boy to Rady Children’s Hospital for treatment.
Police did not arrest the driver of the car, a 54-year-old El Cajon man. However, they are still investigating the case.
