Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on North San Jacinto Avenue Near East Menlo Avenue [Hemet, CA]
Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Car in Hemet
HEMET, CA (November 2, 2020)—A man perished following Saturday morning’s pedestrian accident on North San Jacinto Avenue near East Menlo Avenue.
According to the Hemet Police Department, the accident happened around 1:25 a.m. in the 600 block of North San Jacinto Street.
Under conditions that demand further investigation, a driver struck and killed a man either walking or skateboarding in the No. 2 northbound lane, where the driver had been traveling, as well.
As a result of a crash, the unidentified victim died at the scene.
Following the accident, the driver, who did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigators.
Currently, the ultimate cause of the accident remains unknown, but authorities intend to investigate whether the fatal victim was under the influence at the time.
