Two People Killed in Whittier Car Crash
WHITTIER, CA (November 2, 2020) — Two people died Sunday morning in a multi-vehicle accident on Deveron Drive near Beverly Boulevard.
According to police, a driver heading westbound on Beverly Boulevard crossed into eastbound traffic and crashed into three other cars.
As a result, the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and arrived at the scene around 3:34 a.m. to assist the injured parties.
However, one person – who ejected from a car – died at the scene. Crews worked to free a victim from a car.
Paramedics rushed another person to a local trauma center, but by 4:21 a.m., County Fire officials pronounced another person dead inside one of the vehicles.
Per statements, another patient sustained unknown injuries in the accident, which demands further investigation.
At this point, investigators believe speed might have played a role in the accident, but DUI involvement requires more examination.
