SACRAMENTO, CA (October 29, 2020)—A 40-year-old man died in Tuesday’s multi-vehicle accident on the 5 Freeway near Airport Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a big rig traveling southbound on the freeway failed to stop behind a line of vehicles around 4:20 p.m.

Unfortunately, the 40-year-old driver of the Kia succumbed to injuries at a nearby hospital.
According to the California Highway Patrol, several others sustained major injuries.
At this point, investigators have ruled out intoxication as a possible driver of the accident; however, more investigation continues as authorities determine the precise cause and events of the crash.
