Jose Lucero Killed in Two-Car Accident on Frontage Road 2137 at 25 Freeway

 
LAS VEGAS, NM (October 30, 2020) — An 80-year-old Las Vegas man died in a head-on collision on Frontage Road 2137 at the 25 Freeway.
 
According to state police officers, Jose Augustin Lucero crossed from the southbound side of Frontage Road 2137 to oncoming traffic for unknown reasons. Subsequently, his 1995 Chevy pickup truck collided head-on with a Ford tow truck.
 
Tragically, Lucero died in the accident. At this time, information leading to the cause or circumstances of the crash requires further investigation.
