Grant Miller Arrested for DUI After Hitting, Killing Tow Truck Driver on Highway 99 [Delano, CA]
Grant Miller Detained Following Fatal Crash on Highway 99 Near Woollomes Avenue
DELANO, CA (October 20, 2020)—A tow truck operator died Thursday after being struck by a DUI driver on Highway 99 near Woollomes Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 9:55 p.m. crash happened as the tow truck driver tried to assist a stranded motorist.
CHP officers say an oncoming SUV, driven by Grant August Miller, struck the tow truck operator.
Following the investigation, CHP officers determined that impairment may have played a role in the accident.
Shortly after, police arrested 48-year-old Miller on DUI charges.
