Fatal Car Accident in Montgomery Creek
MONTGOMERY CREEK, CA (October 20, 2020)—A man died following a two-vehicle accident on Highway 299 near Moose Camp Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, under unclear circumstances, a driver of a white Dodge pickup truck heading westbound crossed into oncoming traffic.
Subsequently, the Dodge collided with an eastbound small gray Toyota sedan.
Due to the forceful impact, the Dodge veered off the road and slammed into a tree, where firefighters later tried extricating the driver of the pickup truck out to safety.
Unfortunately, the Dodge driver, as well as his dog, died upon impact.
The two people inside the Toyota sedan suffered unknown injuries and sought hospital care shortly after.
