Person Hit, Killed by Car in Crash on 60 Freeway at Haven Avenue [Ontario, CA]
Deadly Accident in Ontario Following Chain-Reaction Collision
ONTARIO, CA (October 20, 2020) — Sunday’s multi-vehicle accident on the 60 Freeway near South Haven Avenue led to a fatality when a vehicle struck a person leaving the scene of the crash.
According to reports, the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. when a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed approached a construction site zone and its driver became unable to stop in time.
Subsequently, the driver struck a car, causing a chain-reaction collision that involved two other vehicles.
For unknown reasons, the driver of one of the vehicles exited the car and tried fleeing the scene by jumping over the center median and darting across the eastbound lanes; however, during this attempt, an oncoming driver struck and killed the person.
Fortunately, everyone else escaped injury in light of the accident, yet authorities believe alcohol and drugs may have played a role.
Our law firm would like to send its caring thoughts to the family and friends of the victim.
