GLEN ELLEN, CA (October 17, 2020) – Police identified Scott Lindquist, 65, as the victim who suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash on Highway 12 on early Saturday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Arnold Drive around 5:38 PM.
Based on a report, the Kenwood resident was riding his 2002 BMW motorcycle behind a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox on the shoulder prior to the crash. At the same time, Texas resident Brendan Toohey, 28, was driving the SUV southeast on Highway 12. As Toohey made a right turn on Arnold, Lindquist continued straight and collided with the SUV. Subsequently, the impact threw him off his cycle.
Emergency crews rushed Lindquist to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with major injuries. Toohey and his three passengers were not hurt in the incident.
Authorities are still working to determine whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash. In addition, no other details are immediately available.
