Sarah Valdez Arrested in Fatal DUI Crash on Highway 101 [Gonzales, CA]
Man, Child, Killed in DUI Crash on Highway 101 near 5th Street in Gonzales
GONZALES, CA (October 25, 2020) – Police arrested Sarah Valdez following a fatal DUI crash on Highway 101 on Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near 5th Street.
Based on a report, Valdez was driving a car when it crashed in the lanes. Officials did not yet release the details that led to the accident.
As a result, a 31-year-old Salinas man and a six-year-old boy died in the crash. Their identities were not immediately available. In addition, emergency crews transported an eight-year-old to the hospital in an unknown condition.
Valdez has major injuries but police officers later arrested her on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. The accident is still under investigation. At this point, officials don’t have additional information to share.
