One Killed, One Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash on Brookhurst Street [Garden Grove, CA]

Solo Vehicle Involved in Fatal Crash on Brookhurst Street near Trask Avenue in Garden Grove

 
GARDEN GROVE, CA (October 25, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a single-vehicle crash on Brookhurst Street on Sunday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Trask Avenue shortly before 6:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, the female victim was a passenger in a car headed northbound on Brookhurst. Due to an unknown reason, the vehicle crashed into a pole.
 
As a result, the victim died at the scene. Her name was withheld pending notification of her next of kin. In addition, emergency crews transported the male driver to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
 
The Orange County Fire Authority said traffic investigators will be examining the accident to determine if speed and alcohol were a factor. At this time, officials don’t have additional information.
