David Kuffler Struck and Injured by Semi-Truck on Highway 108 [Jamestown, CA]
Semi-Truck Involved in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 108 near Rawhide Road in Jamestown
JAMESTOWN, CA (October 26, 2020) – Police confirmed that a semi-truck hit and injured David Kuffler on Highway 108 on Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Rawhide Road.
Based on a report, the 32-year-old Sonora man was walking on the road at the time of the crash. Due to an unknown reason, the right front side of the 2021 International truck and trailer struck him.
As a result, Kuffler suffered major injuries in the incident. Emergency crews airlifted the victim to a Modesto hospital.
Police located the truck driver, Oscar Gonzalez Jr. of Delhi a short time after the incident. Officers learned that Gonzales was driving at 40 miles per hour when the accident happened. He was unaware he injured the pedestrian.
At this point, Gonzalez is cooperating fully with investigators, and drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the incident.
