Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on 220th Street near Military Road in SeaTac
SEATAC, WA (October 26, 2020) – A fleeing driver struck a 74-year-old pedestrian in an accident on 220th Street on Monday afternoon.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Military Road.
Based on a report, the suspect who fled from the scene during a traffic stop on Interstate 5 struck the elderly who was walking on the street. Subsequently, the suspect’s Dodge Charger crashed into a tree.
Emergency crews transported the pedestrian to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
The 32-year-old male driver abandoned the vehicle and tried to walk away. However, witnesses saw the driver trying to hide and alerted law enforcement officers from the King County Sheriff’s Office. This time, the accident is still under investigation.
