FONTANA, CA (October 21, 2020) – A 32-year-old man suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on Cherry Avenue on early Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Woodland Drive at about 12:20 AM.
Based on a report, the 32-year-old man was walking across Cherry when a vehicle struck him in the No. 2 lane. Subsequently, the driver fled the scene after briefly stopping in the lanes.
As a result, the victim sustained critical injuries. Medics transported him to an area hospital and is now in stable condition.
Witnesses described the suspect as a man in his 20s who was driving a light-colored four-door car. At this time, the Fontana Police Department is still investigating the case. However, they don’t have additional details to share.
