Car Overturned and Struck by Semi-Truck in Fatal Accident on Highway 19 in Green Valley
GREEN VALLEY, AZ (October 22, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a car accident on Highway 19 on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Green Valley Fire District, the collision happened near Duval Mine Road at around 12:45 PM.
Based on a report, a car headed southbound on the highway rolled over and landed in the northbound lanes. Due to unknown circumstances, a semi-truck hit the car. Officials did not yet release the details that led to the crash.
As a result, emergency crews pronounced one of the occupants of the car dead at the scene. In addition, they transported another car occupant to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
No details about the cause of the crash were immediately available. However, officials continue to investigate the case.
