One Killed in Possible Pedestrian Accident on Highway 60 [Ontario, CA]
Pedestrian Found Dead on Highway 60 near Haven Avenue in Ontario
ONTARIO, CA (October 18, 2020) – Police are trying to identify one person after a possible pedestrian accident on Highway 60 on early Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at South Haven Avenue at approximately 12:31 AM.
Based on a report, officers from CHP Rancho Cucamonga station and Ontario Fire Department responded to a collision in the westbound lanes of the highway. They found at least six vehicles at the scene. However, they also found one person in the eastbound lane.
Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. For now, the identity of the victim is not yet available.
Initially, officers said that the victim was possibly hit while crossing the street. It was not clear if the officers found the responsible vehicle at the scene. This time, the CHP is still investigating the case. However, they don’t have additional information to share.
