Motorcycle Struck and Injured by Hit-and-Run Vehicle on Redwood Way in Fortuna
FORTUNA, CA (October 17, 2020) – A motorcycle rider suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Redwood Way on Saturday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Safeway before 1:00 PM.
Based on a report, the victim collided with a blue Astro van with black wheels. Subsequently, the van fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
As a result, the rider sustained injuries in the crash. Crews transported the victim to the hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the rider was wearing all his safety gear.
At this point, the authorities don’t have information on the hit-and-run driver. However, they continue to investigate the case.
Give way to small vehicles like motorcycles and bicycles to avoid a crash. In addition, always follow traffic regulations and always slow down in crowded areas. Also, do not leave the scene after an accident. Wait for rescue and the authorities.
