Isabel Ramirez and Child Injured, Rosalio Perez Uninjured in Crant County Crash
GRANT COUNTY, WA (October 16, 2020) — A two-car accident on Highway 17 near Milepost 44-5 left a woman and an 8-year-old boy with injuries.
According to the Washington State Patrol, paramedics were called upon airlifting the boy to Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital while a team ushered Isabel Ramirez to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake.
Law enforcement officials believe Ramirez, 27, of Moses Lake, crashed into Rosalio Perez’s car, after following it too closely.
Per authorities, Perez tried making a left turn onto a farm road when the collision occurred.
Dodging injury, 68-year-old Perez, of Othello, as well as Ramirez and the child, used a safety belt at the time of the accident.
Additionally, police confirmed that neither alcohol nor drugs played a role in the accident.
