2 Pedestrians Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Desert Hot Springs
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (October 15, 2020) — Two women sustained major injuries in last Friday’s hit-and-run pedestrian accident at Ocotillo Road at Acoma Avenue.
According to police, a car, believed to be a newer white model Honda Accord heading northbound, struck the two women on Ocotillo Road.
The 4:15 a.m. event caused critical injuries to the two victims and as of Tuesday afternoon, reports stated that the pair was in stable but critical condition.
At this time, authorities need witnesses’ help in identifying the driver of the car, which likely sustained moderate damage to the front passenger side fender and bumper.
According to investigators, the car continued northbound on Ocotillo Road toward Pierson Boulevard following the accident.
Anyone with information should call Officer Greg Elias at 760-329-2904 ext. 373.
