Pedestrian in Wheelchair Hit, Injured by Driver in Reno
RENO, NV (October 9, 2020) — A person in a wheelchair suffered an injury Wednesday night following a pedestrian accident at Virginia Street and Hubbard Way.
According to police, the accident befell near the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino around 8:00 p.m.
After learning about the accident, police arrived at the scene to find that a vehicle struck a pedestrian who tried crossing the street against a “Don’t Walk” warning.
Shortly after, paramedics transported the victim to a hospital for further treatment while the driver of the car stayed at the scene for police questioning.
