2 Fatally Struck by Multiple Cars in Pomona Pedestrian Accident on 10 Freeway
POMONA, CA (October 13, 2020) — Two people died Sunday morning following a pedestrian accident on 10 Freeway near North Towne Avenue.
According to Officer Patrick Kimball of the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident occurred around 3:40 a.m. when the pedestrians were purportedly standing on the road prior to having been struck by at least two cars.
One driver involved in the accident pulled over and remained at the scene for police questioning. It appears that he or she had suffered a minor injury from the crash and sought treatment at Pomona Valley Hospital medical center shortly after.
Per CHP statements, the other driver fled the scene for unknown reasons.
As of now, the details of this pedestrian accident on 10 Freeway remain uncertain, but the CHP’s Baldwin Park office urges anyone with information to call them at 626-338-1164.
