Man Dies in Colton Car Crash on 215 Freeway
COLTON, CA (October 15, 2020) — A 25-year-old man died following Tuesday’s multi-car crash on 215 Freeway near the 10 Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident befell around 1:52 a.m.
For unknown reasons, a gray 2013 Nissan Altima, traveling at an unknown speed, struck the rear of a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia, driven by a 38-year-old Hemet man.
Due to the impact, the Nissan became disabled in the No. 2 lane, where an oncoming black 2007 GMC Yukon crashed into it.
As a result of the multi-vehicle crash, the 25-year-old San Bernardino man driving the Nissan died at the scene. Reports did not specify whether the 38-year-old Riverside Yukon driver or the Freightliner driver suffered any type of injury.
