20-Year-Old Man Dies in Electric Skateboard Accident on Chestnut Avenue [Carlsbad, CA]
Electric Skateboard Involved in Fatal Accident on Chestnut Avenue in Carlsbad
CARLSBAD, CA (October 4, 2020) – Police confirmed that a 20-year-old man died in an electric skateboard accident on Chestnut Avenue on Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Pio Pico Drive at approximately 7:30 AM.
Based on a report, the victim was riding an electric skateboard when he took a tumble and fell. This time, it is not yet known if there are other vehicles involved in the incident.
Responders from the Carlsbad Fire Department said crews sent him to a local hospital, where he died on his injuries.
The Carlsbad Police Department is still investigating the case. At this point, officers ask anyone with details to contact the CPD Officer John Maud at (760) 271-5766.
