Man, Woman Die in Car Accident at Palmdale Road and Cobalt Road [Victorville, CA]
Deadly Two-Vehicle Collision in Victorville
VICTORVILLE, CA (October 6, 2020)—A two-car accident at Palmdale Road and Cobalt Road left a 23-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man dead Saturday morning.
According to news reports, the incident befell near Silverado High School around 2:18 a.m.
Under unclear circumstances, a black 2001 Ford Explorer, heading westbound on Palmdale Road, struck a northbound 2006 Hyundai Tiburon.
Paramedics immediately responded to the crash and transported the Hyundai driver to a hospital, where despite having received life-saving measures, he succumbed to his injuries. His female passenger died at the scene.
The 58-year-old man in the SUV also sought treatment at a nearby hospital and at this time, his condition remains unclear.
Due to the aftermath of the event, crews had shut down the intersection and the area surrounding it to investigate the events that led to the crash.
