2 Minors Die Following Westlake Village Accident

 
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA (October 1, 2020) — Two children died Tuesday night after they were struck by a vehicle near Triunfo Canyon Road and Saddle Mountain Road.
 
According to news reports, the victims’ identities have not been released but news described them as male minors.
 
Around 7:10 p.m., deputies from the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station responded to the area to find two injured children at the scene.
 
The department said one child died at the crash site and paramedics shuttled the other child to a hospital in an unknown condition.
 
Not long after his arrival at the hospital, the second child succumbed to his injuries.
 
At this time, it’s unclear what drove the accident and the events that led to it. Although, some reports noted that street racing may have been a factor and police officers ended up arresting one driver on manslaughter charges.
