James Quintana Dies in 25 Freeway Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident [Santa Fe, NM]
James Quintana Struck, Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on 25 Freeway Near Milepost 275
SANTA FE, NM (October 5, 2020) — A 41-year-old man died following Sunday’s hit-and-run pedestrian accident on the 25 Freeway near Milepost 275.
According to reports, officers responded to a report around 8:50 a.m. Monday about a deceased person on the shoulder of the freeway.
Per witnesses, statements and evidence at the scene, a man was seen walking southbound on the 25 Freeway Sunday evening before a southbound vehicle struck him.
Unfortunately, the driver of that car fled the scene, failing to provide aid.
James Bonaventuro Quintana, of Cochiti Pueblo, sustained fatal injuries and died at the crash site.
As of now, details do not add up and the New Mexico State Police is investigating this crash further. If anyone knows the whereabouts of the vehicle and driver involved, please contact their police crash reconstruction team.
