John Clifford, Lori Anchors Hurt in DUI Accident on Northeast Gable Avenue Near Northeast 339th Street
LA CENTER, WA (October 1, 2020) — A head-on DUI accident on Northeast Gable Avenue near Northeast 339th Street Tuesday evening left four people, including two children, seriously hurt.
According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 4:15 p.m. in the 33800 block of Northeast Gable Avenue.
Deputies have determined that 39-year-old John C. Clifford—the driver of a Chevrolet Coupe heading southbound—had crossed the centerline. Upon approaching oncoming traffic, Clifford ‘s Chevrolet struck an oncoming Nissan SUV driven by 61-year-old Lori K. Anchors.
In its wake, the crash left Anchors and her two children, as well as Clifford, with serious injuries.
In the investigation, police determined that Clifford, of Battle Ground, might have been under the influence at the time of the accident.
