Douglas Mullins Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Highway 33 [Oak View, CA]
Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 33 near Larmier Avenue in Oak View
OAK VIEW, CA (September 27, 2020) – Police identified Douglas Mullins as the victim who died after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 33 on Saturday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Larmier Avenue around 8:25 PM.
Based on a report, the 48-year-old Oak View man was walking on the highway at the time of the crash. At the same time, a 47-year-old Oxnard man was driving a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. As the vehicle approached the intersection, the collision occurred.
As a result, emergency crews said Mullins died at the scene.
Police did not release additional information regarding the crash. However, they continue to investigate the case. In addition, officers ask anyone with information to call the CHP’s Ventura office at 805-662-2640.
