Erin Massey Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash on South Ruby Road Near West Penny Lane
PIMA COUNTY, AZ (September 29, 2020) — A 31-year-old woman died following Friday’s single-vehicle accident on South Ruby Road near West Penny Lane.
According to reports, the crash not only killed Erin Massey, but also left her 47-year-old male passenger with minor injuries.
Around 9:45 p.m., deputies responded to reports of a solo-car crash and arrived at the intersection to find that a vehicle had struck a dirt embankment and descended a hill before it flipped over.
Massey, 31, died at the scene and her unidentified passenger was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Reports did not indicate the major causes of this crash, and it’s unclear whether alcohol or speed played a role in the incident. However, an investigation into these accounts remains in place.
