Two Arrested, Two Injured in Protests near the Yorba Linda Public Library Parking Lot in Yorba Linda
YORBA LINDA, CA (September 17, 2020) – Police arrested Tatiana Turner after driving into protesters in the 18181 block of Imperial Highway on Thursday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened in the parking lot of the Yorba Linda Public Library around 03:00 PM.
Based on a report, there were approximately 150 individuals who joined a protest led by Caravan for Justice. Another group conducted a protest and deputies were present in the area. However, about 30 minutes after the protests began, physical altercations occurred between the two groups. At that time, police declared an unlawful assembly to disperse the protesters. During the dispersal, a vehicle struck at least two individuals.
As a result, medics transported the victims to a nearby hospital with major injuries.
Consequently, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department arrested the car driver, Turner, 40, of Long Beach. In addition, officers arrested another man for failure to obey to authorities.
