1 Dead in Tacoma Single-Vehicle Accident on 96th Street South

 
TACOMA, WA (September 25, 2020) — One person died early Friday following a single-vehicle accident on 96th Street South near Steele Street South.
 
According to police spokeswoman Wendy Haddow, the driver was traveling westbound on 96th Street South around 6:00 a.m. However, as he tried swerving around a vehicle crossing South Hosmer Street, he had lost control and crashed at Steele Street South.
 
Unfortunately, authorities arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
Regarding his identity, the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office has yet to release his name and residence pending family notification.
