Fatal Two-Vehicle Accident in Victorville
VICTORVILLE, CA (September 22, 2020) — A man died following Sunday’s two-car accident at Ottawa Street and Hesperia Road.
According to officials, the fatal incident took place around 9:30 p.m. and involved two vehicles.
Upon receiving the call, deputies responded and found a black 2018 Honda Civic located off the road and a silver Chevy Silverado pickup truck with major front-end damage.
Arriving firefighters found the Honda’s female driver, male passenger and a child trapped inside its cabin. Soon after, they were able to free the three patients from the wreckage.
However, according to Sheriff’s officials, the male Honda passenger sustained major injuries and died a short time later at a local hospital.
As for the surviving Honda victims, a California Highway Patrol helicopter and a Reach helicopter landed at Victor Valley Global Medical Center to airlift them to local trauma centers.
Fortunately, the pickup truck occupants suffered only minor injuries. However, the identities of the occupants are unknown.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remain unclear. However, anyone with information should contact Deputy M. Lee or Deputy C. DeKeyrel at the Victorville Police Station at 760-241-2911.
