One Dead in Gardena Car Accident on 405 Freeway

 
GARDENA, CA (September 25, 2020) — At least one person died following a multi-vehicle accident on 405 Freeway near Normandie Avenue Thursday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-vehicle collision happened around 3:38 a.m. and involved at least two cars.
 
At some point during the crash, one of the cars overturned.
 
Paramedics responded shortly thereafter and shuttled four people to a hospital in varying conditions. Unfortunately, one person died at the scene.
 
To determine what had happened, crews had to close the southbound 405 Freeway lanes; however, at this point, details remain unclear.
