SUV Driver Killed in Crash with Semi-Truck on 580 Freeway [Livermore, CA]

SUV Overturned in Fatal Accident on 580 Freeway near Airway Boulevard in Livermore

 
LIVERMORE, CA (September 21, 2020) – Police confirmed that an SUV driver died after a crash with a semi-truck on 580 Freeway on Monday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Airway Boulevard at approximately 1:20 PM.
 
Based on a report, the SUV collided with a semi-truck. Officials did not yet release the details that led to the accident. Subsequently, the impact caused an SUV to overturn multiple times across the lanes.
 
As a result, medics said the SUV driver died in the incident. Officers did not yet disclose the victim’s identity pending kin notification.
 
Fire officials issued a Sig-alert, closing the road while a clearing operation took place in the area.
