Hit-and-Run Driver Sought after Fatal Sacramento Pedestrian Crash
SACRAMENTO, CA (September 21, 2020) – Police confirmed that a pedestrian died after a hit-and-run on Auburn Boulevard on Monday morning.
According to Sacramento police, the collision happened near Marconi Circle just before 4:00 AM.
Based on a report, an unidentified vehicle struck the pedestrian. Subsequently, it fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
According to the officers who responded to the scene, they went to the area after receiving a report about a person on the road. However, when they arrived, crews declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. At this time, the victim’s identity is still unknown.
As of today, detectives do not have a suspect description to provide. However, the Sacramento Police Department is canvassing the area for witnesses and potential surveillance footage.
