One Dead in Accident on Highway 1 [Point Reyes Station, CA]

Fatal Accident Occurs on Highway 1 near the Giacomini Ranch in Point Reyes Station

 
POINT REYES STATION, CA (September 22, 2020) – Police confirmed that at least one person died in an accident on Highway 1 on Tuesday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened about 300 yards south of the Giacomini Ranch around 6:51 PM.
 
Based on a report, CHP officials issued a traffic alert after the fatal accident. However, they did not yet release the details that led to the crash. In addition, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office did not disclose the identity of the victim pending kin notification.
 
The alert closed the highway in both directions while a clearing operation took place in the area.
 
An investigation into the cause of the crash was underway. However, police don’t have additional information this time.
