Driver Injured After Train Strikes Vehicle in San Rafael at San Pedro Road and Los Ranchitos Road

 
SAN RAFAEL, CA (September 18, 2020) — A woman was injured after a SMART train struck her vehicle at North San Pedro Road and Los Ranchitos Road Tuesday afternoon.
 
According to statements, paramedics transported the injured woman to a hospital in Marin County just after the 4:00 p.m. crash.
 
Fortunately, she’d been the only person in her vehicle when the SMART train struck and pushed her car about 100 feet from the point of impact.
 
Details surrounding the severity of her injuries and what had led to the crash remain unclear; however, all SMART trains experienced a delay due to the accident.
