One Killed in Semi-Truck Crash on Highway 145 [Kerman, CA]
Pickup Truck Driver Killed in Crash with Semi-Truck on Highway 145 near Ashlan Avenue in Kerman
KERMAN, CA (September 22, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a crash involving a semi-truck on southbound Highway 145 on Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Ashlan Avenue just before 6:00 AM.
Based on a report, the semi-truck pulled out of a private driveway. Subsequently, it crashed into an oncoming pickup truck that was not able to stop immediately.
As a result, medics said the person in the pickup truck died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity pending kin notification. In addition, the driver of the big rig was not hurt in the incident.
The highway was closed for several hours while the crash investigators were on the scene.
The crash is under investigation. However, the police did not have additional information this time.
