Fatality Due to Tire Damage in Seligman Car Crash on 40 Freeway

 
SELIGMAN, AZ (September 18, 2020) — Two people perished in Wednesday’s car crash on the 40 Freeway near Highway 66.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the fatal event happened when a vehicle that experienced a tire failure veered from the westbound lanes to the eastbound lanes.
 
There, the westbound car subsequently struck an oncoming vehicle, killing the driver and passenger.
 
Paramedics responded shortly thereafter and transported the westbound driver to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
Because details remain unclear at this time, authorities plan to investigate this case more closely.
